USA - A pattern has emerged that is undeniable. Companies that choose to “go woke” are going broke. In fact, this is even happening to some of the largest and most famous corporations in the entire country. There is a certain portion of the population that absolutely hates having “woke” propaganda shoved down their throats and the throats of their children, and in 2023 we are seeing economic boycotts on a scale that we have never seen before. This is a good thing, because the only way these companies are going to willingly change their behavior is if they see that pushing a radical social agenda dramatically affects the bottom line.

USA - The past week the National Education Association, the largest teachers union in the US, issued guidance on the use of leftist activist symbols in public school classrooms. As part of their advice to teachers, they recommended violating district and state rules and hanging items such as pride flags and BLM flags. This is generally cited as a means to “start a conversation,” a way for teachers to circumvent school rules. They might not be able to spend each day spinning lessons on woke concepts, but if a child asks a question about the flags in the room, then they can provide “context.”

USA - National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) numbers released by the FBI at the end of July show the US has enjoyed four years of one million-plus gun sales a month. The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) goes through the FBI’s figures following their release each month, and Public Affairs Manager Director Mark Oliva commented on the July 2023 numbers, saying: This is a remarkable milestone of four continuous years of over 1 million background checks for the sale of a firearm. That’s no small achievement and is indicative of the strong and sustained appetite for law-abiding Americans to take ownership of their Second Amendment rights. It also shows the resilience of the firearm and ammunition industry to meet this continued demand for high-quality firearms that today’s gun owner expects.

USA - The defining problem driving people out is... just how American life works in the 21st century. Nearly everyone I grew up with in my childhood church in Lincoln, Nebraska, is no longer Christian. That’s not unusual. Forty million Americans have stopped attending church in the past 25 years. That’s something like 12 percent of the population, and it represents the largest concentrated change in church attendance in American history. As a Christian, I feel this shift acutely. My wife and I wonder whether the institutions and communities that have helped preserve us in our own faith will still exist for our four children, let alone whatever grandkids we might one day have. This change is also bad news for America as a whole: Participation in a religious community generally correlates with better health outcomes and longer life, higher financial generosity, and more stable families — all of which are desperately needed in a nation with rising rates of loneliness, mental illness, and alcohol and drug dependency.

USA - The decline is not just about religious institutions; it's about society itself. Church attendance in America has been on the decline in recent decades. Are Americans losing their ability to incorporate religion — or any kind of intentional community — into their lives? At its core, the issue is not just church attendance, Meador argues, but rather what American society has become: The problem in front of us is not that we have a healthy, sustainable society that doesn’t have room for church. The problem is that many Americans have adopted a way of life that has left us lonely, anxious, and uncertain of how to live in community with other people.

Over the past year, state and federal prosecutors have alleged that Donald Trump went on something like a crime spree as a presidential candidate, as the sitting president, and then as a private citizen after his defeat. The charges, from Manhattan to Mar-a-Lago, include business fraud, the illegal retention of classified material, and the destruction of evidence.

RUSSIA - Why can’t the neocons in Washington understand they are dealing, not with Saddam Hussein or Muammar Gaddafi, but with a nuclear superpower? If the US/NATO-backed Ukrainian counter-offensive were to prove successful in retaking certain Russian territories, Russia would be forced to use nuclear weapons. This was the message of Dmitry Medvedev, deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council. “If we imagine that the Ukrainian offensive with NATO support was successful and they took part of our territory, we would have to resort to the use of nuclear weapons under the rules of the decree of the Russian President of 2 June 2020,” the former president said on his Telegram channel. Orbán believes Russia, as a nuclear power, cannot be defeated... He stresses the need for peace to prevent further losses of life, mostly Ukrainian lives. The fact that nobody in Washington is thinking along these lines or seems to recognize the obvious, is frightening.

USA - Fitch Ratings downgraded the credit rating of the US on Tuesday, saying the country’s growing debt and repeated standoffs over the borrowing limit make it less trustworthy then before. Fitch downgraded the US from a rating of “AAA” to “AA+” after several years of high-risk partisan battles over the debt limit. Those battles, Fitch said, have led to a spiraling national debt and a lack of faith in the US government to handle it. DC does not want to let you know that when the credit rating goes down, interest rates will go up. That massive $32 trillion debt, which grew by $400 billion in just the last month is going to cost more in interest payments.

FRANCE - French President Emmanuel Macron was quick to react to a domestic conflict happening 6,000 km away from Paris, saying that France would respond immediately to any violence towards French interests in the wake of a coup in the former French colony of Niger. And by French interests, they especially mean one thing in particular – uranium. Niger is France’s top supplier of the mineral, providing 15% of the country’s total supply and a fifth of the European Union’s. It’s an absolutely critical element for powering France’s nuclear reactors. France’s energy independence is, ironically, dependent on Niger. So it’s not hard to imagine that uranium is rather high on the list of those French interests that Paris insists on protecting.

UK - When is the madness going to stop? I'm talking about the latest attempt to pretend it's normal for young women like me to have our healthy breasts surgically removed. It's not. It never has been and it never should be — however hard transgender lobbyists fight. When I saw pictures this week of the new image emblazoned across Costa Coffee's vans, I felt deeply concerned. I also felt immensely sad. The cute cartoon of an androgynous-looking character in colourful yellow shorts with a big smile and two mastectomy scars promotes transgender surgery more keenly than it does the brand itself. The message is clear: you too can live your best life like this trans man if you get your breasts cut off. And it could not be more disingenuous. There is absolutely nothing glamorous about having your breasts removed. I should know. I only have to look in the mirror to see what a transitioned chest looks like.

MALAYSIA - Vegan influencer Zhanna Samsonova has allegedly “died of starvation” after subsisting exclusively on a diet of exotic fruit in Malaysia, according to her friends and family. She was 39. The Russian national — who frequently promoted raw foods on social media where she was known to her millions of viewers on TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram as Zhanna D’Art — reportedly died July 21 after finally seeking medical treatment during a tour in Southeast Asia, according to local media outlet reports. “Zhanna’s idle stagnation was causing her to melt before our eyes, but she believed everything was fine,” theorized another. “Only her eyes, merry eyes, and gorgeous hair compensated for the dreadful sight of a body tortured by idiocy. Forgive me if it sounds harsh.”

USA - What NASA and the European Space Agency are admitting but the media are failing to report about our current heat wave. The current heat wave is being relentlessly blamed on increasing levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, but there is a much more plausible explanation, one that is virtually endorsed by two of the world’s leading scientific organizations. It turns out that levels of water vapor in the atmosphere have dramatically increased over the last year-and-a-half, and water vapor is well recognized as a greenhouse gas, whose heightened presence leads to higher temperatures, a mechanism that dwarfs any effect CO2 may have. The excess water vapor injected by the Tonga volcano, on the other hand, could remain in the stratosphere for several years.

NASA - The huge amount of water vapor hurled into the atmosphere, as detected by NASA’s Microwave Limb Sounder, could end up temporarily warming Earth’s surface. When the Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha’apai volcano erupted on January 15, it sent a tsunami racing around the world and set off a sonic boom that circled the globe twice. The underwater eruption in the South Pacific Ocean also blasted an enormous plume of water vapor into Earth’s stratosphere – enough to fill more than 58,000 Olympic-size swimming pools. The sheer amount of water vapor could be enough to temporarily affect Earth’s global average temperature.

USA - The global takedown of reliable and affordable fossil fuel energy is a threat to national sovereignty, energy independence, and the stability of societies around the globe. Worse, the war against fossil fuels impacts the poor and the elderly the most. As energy is rationed, as the cost of transportation, heating, and cooling is forced to soar, the poor have to choose between their most basic necessities. The people who work the hardest to makes ends meet will be forced to suffer needlessly as the global elite pretend to save all our lives from “climate change.” Now, the elite’s climate change propaganda machine is calling for climate-inspired blackouts, AC rationing, and the consolidation of the poor into “cooling centers.” The LA Times published interviews with climate experts who suggested that home air conditioners be shut down during heatwaves.
