More than a year and a half after the coronavirus pandemic upended daily life, the supply of basic goods at US grocery stores and restaurants is once again falling victim to intermittent shortages and delays. “I never imagined that we’d be here in October 2021 talking about supply-chain problems, but it’s a reality,” said Vivek Sankaran, chief executive officer of Albertsons Cos., who echoed the laments of other retailers. “Any given day, you’re going to have something missing in our stores, and it’s across categories.” Said Meyer, “You name it, it’s going wrong somewhere.”

UK - Once seen as a force for good, the LGBT+ lobby group is rightly facing a backlash, as more details are uncovered about how it has influenced key organisations in Britain to follow its stance on trans issues with no dissent. Britain has been asleep at the wheel as one of Europe’s largest LGBT+ organisations, Stonewall, has extended its influence massively – and, some might say, to a dangerous extent. Formed in 1989, it initially led initiatives raising awareness about homosexuality and provided gay people with a platform. However, times change and, as Stonewall has increased its profile, it has ended up drunk on its own power. In the early days, it was a dominant force, becoming a byword for equality and righteousness. But that perception has ultimately damaged Britain as governments, local authorities and private companies have naïvely chosen to do what the charity tells them. But it’s rapidly become apparent that large sections of the population are vehemently opposed to Stonewall’s ideology.

USA - Cancel culture masquerades as “political correctness,” but it’s just another step from the list of communist objectives that was entered into the Congressional Record in 1963. New York City should be called “Moscow on the Hudson.” New York defunded its police department, decriminalized crimes, let prisoners out of jail, and threw bail out the window for “non-violent” criminals, all of which is out of the pinko playbook and has resulted in a crime wave that has walloped black people more than any other group. Cancel culture isn’t about appeasing the nation’s tiny group of trans folks, nor is it about protecting the feelings of black folks who walk past a statue of Thoman Jefferson. The left only pretends to care about those groups. Cancel culture is about doing away with everything American until the only thing still standing is communism.

VATICAN - Pope Francis invoked God in an effort to pressure Silicon Valley giants into censoring more content, including “hate speech” and “conspiracy theories.” Yes, really. The Pope made the remarks during a World Meeting of Popular Movements, a shadowy organization created to promote “social justice” and fight racism with the help of religious leaders. “In the name of God, I ask the technology giants to stop exploiting human weakness, people’s vulnerability, for the sake of profits without caring about the spread of hate speech, grooming, fake news, conspiracy theories, and political manipulation,” he stated. The Catholic leader apparently believes it’s Christian and Godly to empower giant corporations to shut down free speech. In reality, his every action and position has served to further the anti-Christ globalist beast system for which he is a willing puppet.

USA - Ex-US President Donald Trump has unveiled plans for his own social media platform, calling it an effort to fight the “tyranny” of ban-happy Big Tech firms. It comes after he asked a judge to reinstate him on Twitter and Facebook. The former commander in chief announced the platform alongside an entirely new media venture – the Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) – on Wednesday, saying his TRUTH Social app will be ready for prime-time by early next year and will serve as a “rival to the liberal media consortium” based in Silicon Valley. “I created TRUTH Social and TMTG to stand up to the tyranny of Big Tech. We live in a world where the Taliban has a huge presence on Twitter, yet your favorite American president has been silenced. This is unacceptable,” Trump said in a statement, adding that the platform was “founded with a mission to give a voice to all.”

At the 26 September election, the centre-left Social Democrats (SPD), led by the current Finance Minister Olaf Scholz, emerged as the largest party, with 25.7 per cent of the vote. Everything now points to a Scholz-led government, in combination with the liberal Free Democrats (FDP) and the Greens: a so-called Ampel (traffic light) coalition, named after the parties’ colours of red, yellow and green. In theory, this coalition will represent a centrist blend of social justice, environmental action and fiscal discipline. But on a number of central issues, the direction of the new government is far from clear. Perhaps most critically, its chief political protagonists have had remarkably little to say on the subject of Europe. Indeed, talk of “Europe” – and Germany’s role in it – was almost entirely absent during the election. The silence can’t remain. An enormous storm is brewing over the future of the European Union.

Rachel Levine, the US assistant secretary for health, was sworn in Tuesday as an admiral of the US Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, a 6,000-person force that responds to health crises on behalf of the federal government, including administering coronavirus vaccines and delivering care after hurricanes. Levine is also the organization's first-ever female four-star admiral. The move was hailed by advocacy groups like the gay rights organization GLAAD, and health care leaders who called it a breakthrough moment.

In a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), Mathias Döpfner, CEO of the German publisher Axel Springer, said that Politico staffers will be required to adhere to a set of principles which include “support for a united Europe, Israel’s right to exist and a free-market economy, among others.” “These values are like a constitution, they apply to every employee of our company,” Mr. Döpfner told WSJ. People with a fundamental problem with any of these principles “should not work for Axel Springer, very clearly,” he said. I mean, how refreshing is that? How often does a billionaire corporation buy up a media property and just straightforwardly tell you they’re going to be using it to push propaganda? They even say what the propaganda will be.
