USA - President Joe Biden is de-listing the Houthi rebels of Yemen as a terrorist organization, despite the fact that the group attacks civilians, considers the US an enemy, and is armed and funded by Iran. As Breitbart News has previously reported: “The Houthis are a jihadist organization whose slogan is ‘God Is Great, Death to America, Death to Israel, a Curse on the Jews, Victory to Islam.'” The Biden administration announced the move on Friday, ostensibly to allow humanitarian aid to reach Yemen. It follows an announcement by National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan that the US was ending its support for Saudi Arabia’s war in Yemen on behalf of the legitimate government. The Houthis launched the war in 2014. Iran backs the rebels, partly because control of Yemen gives Iran a strategic position across the Bab el Mandeb Strait from US forces that are stationed in Djibouti on the Red Sea. Both sides in the civil war have committed atrocities.
IRAN - Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, called on the US to drop all of its sanctions against the country if it wants Iran to return to its own commitments under the 2015 nuclear deal. Khamenei tweeted on Sunday that despite Iran previously fulfilling its own obligations as part of the agreement, the US and Europe violated their promises. “Iran has fulfilled all its obligations under the 2015 nuclear deal, not the United States and the three European countries... If they want Iran to return to its commitments, the United States must lift all sanctions first,” he said. As part of the 2015 nuclear deal, Iran agreed to reduce its nuclear facilities and limit its uranium enrichment stockpile, while the other parties agreed to lift certain economic sanctions against Iran. Former US President Donald Trump, however, pulled his country out of the deal in 2018 and implemented more sanctions – an act which the EU deemed illegal – prompting Iran to drop its own commitments and continue with its nuclear efforts.
USA - Lead, arsenic and deadly heavy metals are discovered in popular BABY FOOD as House subcommittee slams Walmart and two others for refusing to cooperate and warns they might be 'obscuring even higher levels'. Arsenic, lead and other toxic metals that can harm brain development have been found in many popular baby foods, including organic brands. The US Food and Drug Administration considers arsenic, lead, cadmium and mercury harmful to human health. 'Children's exposure to toxic heavy metals causes permanent decreases in IQ, diminished future economic productivity, and increased risk of future criminal and antisocial behavior,' the report reads. According to the FDA, the metals found have 'no established health benefit' and 'lead to illness, impairment, and in high doses, death.' Hansen said parents who are concerned should switch to unprocessed fruits and vegetables.
USA - Big Brother is spying on you in thousands of ways, and all of that info now goes into centralized “Fusion Systems”. On the other side of the Atlantic, a joint European surveillance project known as ROXANNE is causing a great deal of concern… Big Brother is watching you. Sadly, most people don’t realize how extensive the surveillance grid has now become. As you drive to work or to school, license plate readers are systematically tracking where you travel.
EUROPE - The EU operates like an empire, a leading academic told Express.co.uk, as Brussels seeks to block out countries outside the club and make trade for developing countries exceedingly difficult. Brussels has in the past week been accused of moving towards "vaccine nationalism" after it moved to block vaccines being transported to the UK. It came as EU "bureaucracy" meant that the bloc's mass vaccination programme was delayed. Meanwhile, thousands of vaccines left Dutch and Belgian factories for the UK.
EUROPE - Despite its long list of crises in recent years - including the most recent vaccine snafu - the European Union has become a global pacesetter. Its laws and regulations have established global norms. This has made the bloc a 21st century model. Stuck in the narrative of Europe's decline, many Europeans now worry about the future – and misperceive the real balance of power in the world today. The EU, though, isn’t puny and insignificant. It’s quite the opposite – a giant that plays a decisive role in shaping life on this planet. It always ranks among the top three in the world by all criteria. It is even ahead of the United States in many fields and will be able to outperform China in many respects for decades to come.
USA - The US Senate overwhelmingly voted to ensure the continued funding for the operation of the US embassy in Jerusalem, sealing Donald Trump’s snub to Palestinians that made a two-state solution even more elusive. Only three senators – Tom Carper (Democrat for Delaware), Bernie Sanders (Independet for Vermont) and Elizabeth Warren (Democrat for Massachusetts) – voted against the move which effectively makes the relocation of the embassy from Tel Aviv permanent. Thursday night’s vote confirms the status of Jerusalem as “the eternal and indivisible capital of the Jewish State of Israel,” according to Senator Bill Hagerty (Republican for Tennessee) who co-sponsored the resolution.
CHINA - Senior Chinese foreign policy official Yang Jiechi, one of the top aides to dictator Xi Jinping, on Monday instructed President Joe Biden to abandon the “misguided policies” of his predecessor, Donald Trump. Yang drew a “red line that must not be crossed” against US interference in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Tibet, or Xinjiang province. Yang added a warning that China’s crackdown on democracy in Hong Kong, its growing aggression toward Taiwan, its brutal occupation of Tibet, and its vicious oppression of the Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang province are on the far side of a “red line that must not be crossed,” thus signaling total rejection of the human rights concerns expressed by the United States, other Western powers, and human rights groups. “We in China hope that the US side will fully understand the sensitivity of these issues and handle them with prudence, so as to avoid disruption or damage to mutual trust and cooperation,” he said.
USA - As censorship and cancel culture gets revved up another notch, it was perhaps inevitable that I would get targeted yet again, this time by The Washington Post, The New York Times and Forbes magazine. January 18, 2021, our media department received an email from Joe Walsh, a Forbes reporter, stating: “I understand that … your organization received PPP funds last year, along with several other organizations that have offered skepticism about vaccines, and I’d like to include your response. How do you respond to insinuations from critics that your organization should not have received federal assistance, given your views on vaccines? My deadline is in an hour — thanks in advance.”
USA - It voted 97-3 on an amendment that sets aside funding to maintain the Jerusalem embassy, making it harder to reverse former President Donald Trump’s move of the embassy from Tel Aviv. Biden has said he does not intend to move the embassy back to Tel Aviv. The amendment, co-sponsored by 21 Republicans led by James Inhofe of Oklahoma, was added to the massive $1.9 trillion budget bill the Senate passed as part of President Joe Biden’s relief package. The three senators who voted against were all Democrats: Bernie Sanders of Vermont, Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and Tom Carper of Delaware.
USA - The head of US Strategic Command is warning that nuclear war with Russia or China is “a real possibility,” pointing to “destabilizing” behaviors of America’s rivals. He also claims the Pentagon is not “stuck in the Cold War.” “There is a real possibility that a regional crisis with Russia or China could escalate quickly to a conflict involving nuclear weapons, if they perceived a conventional loss would threaten the regime or state,” STRATCOM chief and Vice Admiral Charles Richard wrote in the February issue of the US Naval Institute's monthly magazine.
USA - In this article, I continue to trace the implications of the missing virus; I’m referring to the fact the no one has proved SARS-CoV-2 exists. Here I take a wider look at the situation. Apparently, the notion of a virus was born when germ theorists ran out of bacteria to explain illnesses. So they claimed there had to be a smaller invisible particle, which came to be called “virus.” Since that fateful choice, researchers have encountered various problems. Chief among them: how do you to prove, in specific instances, that these viruses exist and cause illness?
NORWAY - The Peace Prize committee has had another tough year finding worthy nominations. So it’s time to ditch the charade, avoid honouring those who later disgrace themselves and stop bestowing undue virtue upon global organisations. One of the world’s great ironies is that the Nobel Peace Prize has honoured so many men of violence. Bomb-happy killers, terrorists, dictators, authoritarian monsters, the lot... they’ve all won the hallowed Peace Prize. But still its guardians continue their unending hunt for validation, offering up an annual slate of nominees whose characters are dissected and debated as to the worthiness of their inclusion on such an ‘important’ list.
USA - Planned Parenthood CEO Alexis McGill Johnson exclaimed in an interview with Business Insider she is “completely over the moon” that abortion rights champion Kamala Harris is now vice president. “She has really demonstrated her facility of understanding our issues but also the intersection of sexual and reproductive healthcare with issues of race, with issues of the economy, with issues of democracy and our American values,” Johnson said in the interview published Monday.
USA - This week, Seattle Public Schools (and other area schools) are teaching students in kindergarten to pick their gender, combat a so-called hetero-patriarchal society, and disrupt the nuclear family structure. The lessons are part of the Black Lives Matter at School movement. The radical, political agendas on gender identity and the family structure have some parents livid. These topics are not age appropriate. Hoping for an alternative viewpoint to BLM talking points? There are none presented to students and it’s by design. Indeed, SPS believes them to be bigoted.
