Zakharova: "German chancellor poses threat to world"

RUSSIA - Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has suggested that Germany’s incoming chancellor could revive a dark era in history, in response to a report that he will pledge to “assume responsibility again” in an Easter address. On Saturday, Bild reported that in the speech, Friedrich Merz will promise that “Germany will again assume responsibility – in Europe and in the world. Not loudly, but reliably. Not arrogantly, but in a partner-like manner.” In a post on her Telegram channel later on Saturday, Zakharova jocularly inquired “to which historical period” the “again” in Merz’s purported address refers.

Trump Confronts Economic And Geopolitical Reality

USA - By the time this is published, everything may have changed, and that is to be expected. Throughout his career, well before and since becoming a politician, Trump has explicitly stated that he does not think it is always a good strategy to be predictable. And while markets love predictability, sometimes markets, and the systems propping them up, need disruption. This is such a moment.

US can manipulate time and space – White House

USA - President Trump recently claimed that the country possesses weapons “nobody has any idea” about. The US possesses technology that can “manipulate” and “bend time and space,” White House innovation czar Michael Kratsios has claimed. Kratsios delivered the remarks at the Endless Frontiers Retreat in Austin, Texas, just weeks after being confirmed as director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. He emphasized President Donald Trump’s ambition to usher in a new “golden age of America,” which includes fostering scientific research and the application of cutting-edge technologies. According to Kratsios, the US can emerge as a global leader by making “smart choices” regarding public funding and deregulating innovation. “Our technologies permit us to manipulate time and space. They leave distance annihilated, cause things to grow, and improve productivity,” he stated, without elaborating.

How The Woke Postmodern “Faith” Glorifies Evil

USA - It’s not as if it was ever a secret: The very core of the woke movement is fundamentally rooted in evil. The general definition of “evil” being a conscious act of deception and destruction, the deliberate victimization of others for the sake of personal power, pleasure and gain. When I try to imagine what a religion of evil might look like I consistently come back to the far-left woke movement along with its rabid mantras, agendas and self righteous narcissism.

High levels of toxic chemicals found in paper receipts

USA - Holding the receipts for 10 seconds absorbs enough bisphenol S to break California’s safety rule, research finds. The Center for Environmental Health (CEH) non-profit has sent violation notices to about 50 major retailers alerting them to the exceedance of California’s Proposition 65 limits for BPS. Among the companies to which notices were sent for the allegedly illegal levels of BPS in their receipts are Burger King, Chanel, Dollar General, AMC Theaters, GameStop, Subway, Foot Locker and Ace Hardware. “[The findings were] really eye-opening for us,” Mihir Vohra, science lead at the CEH, said. “They really speak to just how high the concentrations of BPS are in these receipts.”

The West as we knew it is dead, warns Ursula von der Leyen

EUROPE - “The West no longer exists”, Ursula von der Leyen has said while defending a “stronger Europe” in a riposte to President Trump’s administration and its “bros” and “oligarchs making the rules”. The president of the European Commission declared that Europe was the best place for democracy, equality, healthcare and for the middle class. In an interview with Die Zeit, von der Leyen, 66, said that “the West as we knew it no longer exists”, while contrasting Washington’s unpredictable behaviour and tariff chaos to the EU’s commitment to global trade.

China pounces as Trump turns on Europe

EUROPE - When it comes to carrots and sticks, Donald Trump prefers to use the latter to persuade other nations to do America’s bidding. The US president has unveiled sweeping tariffs on imports and has accused allies and enemies alike of ripping off America. China, by contrast, has seen an opportunity to turn on the charm. Beijing sees an opening to exploit Trump’s belligerence and forge closer ties with Europe as the US rips up the existing global trade system.

It’s time to be perfectly clear: China is an enemy

UK - We should not be seeking investment from a nation which is diametrically opposed to our key values. Irrespective of whether China’s Communist rulers were involved in a dastardly plot to end steel production in the UK, it remains an irrefutable fact that Beijing constitutes a significant threat to our national security. This is not a new phenomenon. Only two years ago, when Rishi Sunak’s government published its update on the UK’s national security priorities, China was identified as an “epoch-defining challenge”, one that demanded action be taken to “protect” our national security in those areas where Chinese meddling could prove harmful to the national good.

Don't Believe the Anti-Tariff Hysteria

USA - On April 2, 2025, President Donald J Trump didn't just unveil tariffs — he sparked a revolution. In the Rose Garden, surrounded by proud union workers, the president proclaimed America's "Liberation Day," smashing the free-trade orthodoxy that had devastated our middle class and shipped our jobs overseas. These tariffs aren't some meek adjustment; they're a rebuke to the smug elites who've hawked "free trade" as our savior while raking in the profits. Liberation Day was the moment we stopped groveling and started winning — the day a nation gutted by betrayal entered a golden era of American greatness.

China Faces 245% Trump Tariff

USA - The White House said China is facing up to a 245 percent tariff on imports to the US "as a result of its retaliatory actions," as the trade war between the world's two largest economies continues to heat up. The top potential tariff was referenced in a fact sheet published by the White House late on Tuesday. It accompanied an executive order signed by President Donald Trump that launched an investigation into the "national security risks posed by US reliance on imported processed critical minerals and their derivative products." A White House official told Newsweek the calculation reflects the maximum potential rate some Chinese goods could face, combining the reciprocal tariff, the fentanyl tariff, and existing Section 301 tariffs that go up to 100 percent. Electric vehicles, for example, have outstanding Section 301 tariffs of 100 percent dating back to the Biden Administration, meaning these products would face a 245 percent rate in total.

It is finally clear who really stands to benefit from Trump’s trade war

USA - While America fells its own corporate giants, China’s tech powers are only growing stronger. It’s the company that, outside the excitable world of tech and stock market obsessives, few had ever heard of before all the recent hoopla over artificial intelligence. That company is Nvidia, the world’s premier designer and manufacturer of advanced computer microchips. On Monday night, the company announced a $5.5 billion (£4.1 billion) hit to profits after Trump’s White House announced new controls on the sale of stripped-down Nvidia chips to China.

Germany: new coalition deal at risk after just 7 days

GERMANY - A new Chancellor of Germany is due to be sworn in on May 6, but cracks are already starting to show in the coalition of parties forming the new government. The mask of mutual agreement appears to be slipping from political parties set to form a coalition government in Germany by the end of this month - with a defence minister saying he "never" backed a proposal made by the likely future Chancellor to send missiles to Ukraine. It's a sign trouble could be brewing in the Bundestag, the German federal parliament, ahead of Friedrich Merz swearing in as the new leader of the country on May 6.

Germany will turn away asylum seekers at its borders

GERMANY - Germany has announced it will turn asylum seekers away from its borders as part of a raft of new measures to curb illegal migration agreed by the nation's incoming coalition government. The new rules will see asylum seekers refused entry at Germany's land borders. It comes as Germany’s incoming chancellor, Friedrich Merz, promised a “repatriation offensive” against illegal immigrants. The coalition deal, finalised this week, includes a raft of pledges aimed at restoring economic confidence, boosting defence spending and tightening immigration controls. Mr Merz said: “Germany will suspend family reunifications for many migrants, designate more ‘safe countries of origin’, and launch a return offensive for rejected asylum seekers."

‘Euro-Nazism’ is being revived – Moscow

RUSSIA - Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Tuesday that the EU’s attempts to pressure candidate states not to attend the 80th anniversary of victory in World War II in Moscow are tantamount to a revival of Nazism. On Monday, the bloc’s foreign policy chief, Kaja Kallas, warned the leaders of EU members and candidate states against taking part in the event in the Russian capital on May 9. British daily The Telegraph later wrote that candidate states such as Serbia could be barred from joining the bloc if their leaders attend the Victory Day celebrations. “If this is true, then Euro-Nazism is being reborn before our eyes,” Zakharova wrote on Telegram, citing the article. “This is how the fascists 80 years ago forced those they considered ‘second-class people’ to renounce their homeland, ethnicity, and faith,” the spokeswoman added. Victory Day honors the 1945 triumph of the USSR over Nazi Germany, as well as the estimated 26.6 million Soviet lives lost in the conflict.

King praises Judaism and Islam in Easter message

UK - The King has praised the ethics of Judaism and the “human instinct” of Islam in his Easter message. In a message issued on Maundy Thursday, the King wished the public a “blessed and peaceful Easter”, saying the greatest virtue the world needs is “love”. On Thursday, he and the Queen will join the congregation at Durham Cathedral for a service before he distributes “Maundy Money”, a royal tradition. In an Easter message published ahead of the service, the King said: “On Maundy Thursday, Jesus knelt and washed the feet of many of those who would abandon Him."

“Just what is an APOSTLE?”
Just what is an Apostle?

Today we find the Church of God in a “wilderness of religious confusion!”

The confusion is not merely around the Church – within the religions of the world outside – but WITHIN the very heart of The True Church itself!

Listen to Me, You who know righteousness, You people in whose heart is My Law: …I have put My words in your mouth, I have covered you with the shadow of My hand, That I may plant the heavens, Lay the foundations of the earth, and say to Zion, “you are My people” (Isaiah 51:7,16)
