ISRAEL - The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) discovered a command center this week used by Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists within the Gaza City headquarters of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA). Israel has long insisted that UNRWA supports terrorism in general, and maintains that several UNRWA employees participated directly in the October 7 terror attack. Terrorists have repeatedly used UNRWA facilities to launch attacks and store weapons. In February, the IDF revealed that it had found a Hamas command center underneath Shifa Hospital. Several countries suspended funding for UNRWA after reports emerged of UNRWA participating in the October 7 attack; but several have since restored it.
USA - Eyewitness report by TOM NEWTON DUNN working for the Times: "When the first shots rang out, there was silence. Then, the screaming started. It was just after ten past six on Saturday evening at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. We and tens of thousands of others had been waiting for hours in the 35C heat to hear Donald Trump speak. When he finally took to the stage, at 6.04pm, the crowd, many of them dressed in red Maga hats, cheered and whooped as he started speaking, about 50 metres from us. Then a volley of jarring sounds cut through the summer air: high-pitched rattles that sounded like firecrackers. Everyone looked around, and just for a moment, there was a deadly quiet. Secret Service agents clad in black suits jumped on Trump and pulled him to the ground. An instant later, the crowd of about 30,000 realised what had happened.
USA - The attempted assassination of Donald Trump, which opens a dark new chapter in America’s cursed story of political violence, shook a nation already deeply estranged during one of the most tense periods of its modern history. The targeting of a former president at a campaign rally just days before he accepts the Republican nomination is, by definition, an attack on democracy and the right of each American to choose their leaders.
USA - CNN’s [first] headline after assassination attempt on Trump is exactly why nobody trusts Corporate Media. Donald J Trump, and former and likely future President of the United States, had an assassination attempt against him but fake news CNN decided to go with THIS as their headline: “Secret Service rushes Trump off stage after he falls at rally”. We confirmed this was real before they edited it. Some may argue that media must confirm all facts before making statements, but they’re extremely selective with when they’re “careful” about what they report. In fact, they’ll often report false information such as “white supremacists” as mass murderers before changing their story later. This is the point when I would normally go into a long analysis of the degradation of trust in corporate media, but I won’t. You don’t need to be told why they hate America and despise the truth.
UK - Half the cabinet, including Sir Keir Starmer, chose the non-religious option to profess allegiance to the King. When Alastair Campbell said “we don’t do God”, it was because he knew that Tony Blair very much did. But as Sir Keir Starmer becomes the first atheist prime minister for decades, Britain has elected the most irreligious parliament in history. Forty per cent of MPs chose to make a secular affirmation rather than a religious oath on being sworn into the Commons this week, up from 24 per cent at the start of the last parliament in 2019. Half of the cabinet, including Starmer, took the non-religious option to profess allegiance to the king as Britain elected the first parliament as godless as the nation at large.
USA - When you’ve got one last shot at proving to your detractors that you’re definitely not senile or it might be the end of the world as we know it, there are probably better ways to start than to stare Volodymyr Zelensky lovingly in the eyes and call him “President Putin”. That should maybe matter more than a slip of the presidential tongue, but it doesn’t. Tens of billions of dollars of weapons may not end up doing anywhere near as much damage as that short but seismic moment of parapraxis. It will surely be the end of him, even though no one seems to have come up with a better idea. Even before this, Biden’s world was falling apart around him, as George Clooney defenestrated him via The New York Times.
TAIWAN - Raymond Greene has taken the post as the head of the American Institute in Taiwan, making him the de facto US ambassador. On Wednesday, the new head of the US’s de facto embassy in Taiwan vowed to President William Lai Ching-te that the US would provide strong military support for the island amid rising tensions between Washington and Beijing. “First of all, and the most important thing, the US will strongly support Taiwan’s self-defense capabilities,” said Greene, who took his post as the head of the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) on Monday. “We both have common and long-term interests in peace and stability over the Taiwan Strait. The United States no longer sees Taiwan as a ‘problem’ in our relations with China, we see it as an opportunity to advance our shared vision for a free and open Indo-Pacific.” A “free and open Indo-Pacific” is a term the US has employed in recent years that essentially means a region where the US is the dominant military power and has more influence than China.
UK - The UK’s most popular supermarket chain Aldi has started rolling out new insect-based “foods” as alternatives to meat. The discount grocery store chain Aldi is planning to sell edible insect recipe kits for families who are struggling to buy real meat. The company says the move will help consumers meet the daily protein needs of families amid soaring food prices. In recent years, globalists such as the World Economic Forum (WEF) and Bill Gates have been promoting bugs such as crickets as a cheap and sustainable form of protein. Aldi is currently investigating which insect-based products it could stock as a replacement for meat. The company is planning to stock products by Yum Bug, which manufactures insect recipe kits.
NORTH KOREA - Kim Jong-un's sister and right-hand woman warned the United States had "crossed the red line." North Korea has reignited fears of a potential war in Asia as the rogue nation issued a chilling new threat to the United States and a major ally in the region. Kim Jong-un's sister Kim Yo Jong slammed Washington and South Korea for recent military drills, claiming the two allies had "crossed the red line." Ms Kim said: "The war maniacs should judge by themselves what result such desperate war drill hysteria would bring in the end." Tensions between the the two countries have been at boiling point for months, as South Korea repeatedly condemned the Kim regime for a series of missile test launches. The North, on the other hand, warned routine military exercises with the United States are a provocative act and warned Seoul could face dire consequences if the drills continued.
USA - We continue to get numbers that indicate that the US economy is steamrolling in the wrong direction as we approach the most chaotic election season in our history. Needless to say, the performance of the economy is going to play a major role in the outcome of the election, because millions upon millions of Americans are really suffering right now. Homelessness has been growing at the fastest pace ever recorded, hunger and poverty are exploding, and we are in the midst of a cost of living crisis that doesn’t seem to have any end in sight. Unfortunately, there are signs that things will soon get even worse. For example, we experienced a “historic surge” of corporate bankruptcies during the first half of this year that was worse than anything we have witnessed since the first half of 2010…
RUSSIA - Moscow is likely to play a significant role in the budding dialogue between Türkiye and Syria. It has been almost 12 years since relations between Türkiye and Syria took a dramatic turn for the worse. Once good friends, Presidents Recep Tayyip Erdogan (who was prime minister back then) and Bashar Assad quickly became sworn enemies, and the border between their countries turned into a permanent hotspot of instability. This conflict became yet another consequence of the Arab Spring, which swept through the Middle East and North Africa like a storm in 2011.
GERMANY - Hosting US long-range missiles will allow Germany the opportunity to develop similar weapons of its own, Defense Minister Boris Pistorius has said. Berlin and Washington announced at the end of the NATO summit in Washington this week that US cruise missiles will be stationed in Germany from 2026. Deployment of such weapons would previously have been banned under the Cold War-era Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) treaty, but Washington withdrew from the landmark agreement in 2019. A joint German-US statement released by the White House revealed that among the weapons to be deployed to the European nation are the SM-6 anti-air missile, which has a range of up to 460km (290 miles), as well as the Tomahawk cruise missile, which can reportedly strike targets more than 2,500km away.
RUSSIA - On Thursday, Russian officials reacted strongly and vowed to respond to the US announcing that it will deploy missile systems to Germany starting in 2026 that were previously banned by the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty. Anatoly Antonov, Russia’s ambassador in Washington, said the deployment could lead to confrontation. “The Americans are increasing the risk of a missile arms race. Here, they forget that going the way of confrontation may set off an uncontrollable escalation amid the dangerous aggravation of tensions along the Russia-NATO track,” he said. Valentina Matviyenko, speaker of the Federation Council, Russia’s upper house of parliament, warned of a strong response if the US goes through with the deployment. “I hope that it will not happen, because Russia’s response will be harsh and adequate. This is simply unacceptable,” she said.
USA - New research published in the journal Agriculture and Human Values reveals that global food and health policy is controlled by a "complex web of ultra-processed food producers" that include Coca-Cola, Nestlé and PepsiCo. The reason why farmers are under the knife by the climate brigade for "polluting" the planet is because the large, multinational corporations that produce most of the unhealthiest "food" on the planet are steering agriculture off a cliff for their own benefit, and that of other "stakeholders" like the World Economic Forum (WEF) that is leading a transformation from a solely corporate-dominated food and health model to a "multi-stakeholder" model. The multi-stakeholder model has unleashed all sorts of new initiatives, partnerships, platforms and roundtables devoted to implementing new global "solutions" to agricultural "problems."
USA - Abortion should be one of the central issues during this election season, because it has enormous implications for our future. Last year, more than a million abortions were performed in the United States. That was the first year since 2012 that we have surpassed the one million abortion mark. Many people thought that the number of abortions would go down once Roe v Wade was overturned, but that didn’t happen. One of the primary reasons why the number of abortions is going up is because of the widespread availability of abortion pills. It has become so easy to get abortion pills through the mail, and that includes states where abortion is otherwise restricted or banned. If we don’t do something about all of these abortion pills that are flying around, the number of abortions in this country will almost certainly continue to go up. Unfortunately, it does not appear that anything will be done to restrict abortion pills on the national level any time soon.
