Sending Warplanes to Ukraine Risks War Escalation

RUSSIA - Officials in Moscow took aim at claims that Western powers could get away with sending fighter jets, such as the F-16, to Ukraine without escalating hostilities, with a spokeswoman for the Kremlin going so far as to lambast the suggestion as being “absurd”. It comes after French president Emmanuel Macron suggested on Monday that the possibility of France sending some of its fighter jets to Ukraine was not “prohibited in principle” so long as Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky’s administration could give assurances that the aircraft would not be used to escalate the conflict.

Donald Trump: Biden Administration May Lead America into World War III

USA - Former President Donald Trump on Monday, during his final “Save America” rally of the midterm campaign cycle in Ohio, warned that President Joe Biden’s administration could lead America to World War III. Trump was discussing how the United States was safer during his four years as president than during Biden’s tenure. Trump chided Biden for bringing the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) agent count up to 87,000. “Instead of doubling the number of IRS agents, we should double the number of ICE and border patrol agents,” Trump said. “And we should pass legislation to deport every illegal alien that Joe Biden has unlawfully allowed to break into our country.”

US sanctions on Chinese solar panels cripple Americans

USA - Thanks to political games and the fossil fuel lobby, Washington is shooting itself in the foot on clean energy. According to a recent South China Morning Post report citing the China Silicon Industry Association, last month, major Chinese solar panel makers Longi Green, TCL Zhonghuan, and Tongwei sliced their prices by as much as 27% on the back of cuts in raw material costs. This is set to benefit the world and mainly Europe, as the continent diversifies its energy portfolio amid the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and attendant disruptions of the gas supply from Russia.

Moderna wants to quadruple the price of its Covid-19 vaccine

USA - The company has benefited from taxpayer-funded research and guaranteed contracts but plans to price gouge Americans. With the US federal government’s stock of vaccines for residents running out, Moderna now plans to raise the cost of its vaccine from $26 to up to $130 in a decision that understandably has Americans angry.

The right to “Religious Abortion.”

USA - The Satanic Temple joined Democrats in their battle against the Supreme Court’s 2022 ruling on Roe v Wade. The Satanic Temple released a statement following the ruling on their plans to fight in court for the right to “religious abortion.” The satanists believe abortion is a “religious” sacrament. On Wednesday the Satanic Temple announced they will open a “religious medical services clinic” in New Mexico.

Britain grinds to a halt

UK - A longstanding dispute over wages and working conditions came to a head on Wednesday as hundreds of thousands of British workers took part in what organizers said was the biggest day of industrial action in over a decade. Around 500,000 workers joined the day of mass action, teachers, train drivers, university lecturers, bus drivers, civil servants and airport workers marched out. The major discontent comes amid rampant inflation and years of stagnant wage growth, putting further pressure on Britain’s long-ruling Conservative government, which is grappling with a cost-of-living crisis.

Israel refills the Sea of Galilee, supplying Jordan on the way

ISRAEL - When the floodgates are open, a torrent of water gushes into a dry river bed and races to the shore of the Sea of Galilee, a biblical lake in northern Israel that was being lost to drought and the growing population around it. The water is fresh, high-quality, expensive. Desalinated from the Mediterranean Sea and transported across the country where it awaits the order to replenish the lake should it start to shrink again.

What the Media Won’t Tell You

UKRAINE - He concedes, albeit reluctantly, that Ukraine is losing and is suffering massive casualties. He reports that one Ukrainian brigade (a unit of 5,000 men) suffered 80% casualties in recent weeks. He admits that the Wagner Group is not suffering major casualties and are fighting very smart and are well-equipped. Yet, in the next breath, he insists Russia is hemorrhaging troops because that is what he is hearing from Ukrainian sources.

Every bite of junk food increases the risk of dying from cancer

UK - Eating junk food — which scientists often call ultra-processed foods — including sugary drinks, sliced bread, and ready-made meals may be increasing your risk of cancer with every bite. A new study warns that these foods are generally high in salt, fat, sugar, and contain artificial additives and can also lead to obesity, Type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. They are often cheaper, more convenient to buy, and heavily marketed in comparison to other, healthier options. Now, researchers say they can increase a person’s risk of death from cancer — especially among women.

Europe Doesn’t Need the United States Anymore

EUROPE - The Russian military’s weaknesses have been apparent since the early days of the war in the Ukraine. The staggering losses in troops and equipment, Moscow’s inability to adequately equip or even supply its troops, and the multiple shifts in command — Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov being Russian President Vladimir Putin’s latest choice — have exposed the myth of the Russian army’s supposed invincibility. The jostling between Yevgeny Prigozhin’s Wagner Group — a private army active in the key battles of Soledar and Bakhmut — and Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu as well as Russia’s high command attests to deep and persistent friction among the very people Putin counts on to run the war and attain victory.

German Economy Shrank Last Year

GERMANY - Germany’s economy shrank by 0.2% in the fourth quarter compared with the previous three-month period, official figures showed Monday. The performance by Europe’s biggest economy was worse than expected. Gross domestic product shrank for the first time since the first quarter of 2021 largely because of a decline in consumer spending, which had supported the economy in the first nine months of 2022, the Federal Statistical Office said. The drop followed GDP growth of 0.5% in the third quarter and 0.1% in the second quarter.

Israeli Government’s Response to Latest “Mass Shooting”

ISRAEL - Israeli Government’s response to latest “mass shooting” is the opposite of how the US Government responds. Anytime there’s a mass murder by firearm in the United States, social media fills with calls to “do something.” Gun-grabbers pounce. Politicians virtue signal. The fervent calls to add stricter gun laws come in almost immediately after the news breaks.

British Military ‘Unable to Protect the UK’ or Allies After Years of Cuts

UK - Britain’s armed forces are no longer able to play a full role in NATO or defend the homeland after years of cutbacks, according to British defence sources, with a senior American general warning London that it has a “barely tier two” force. Broadcaster Sky News reports multiple British defence sources lamenting Britain’s military decrepitude, with one warning that the “bottom line” is that the armed forces will be “unable to protect the UK and our allies for a decade” despite extremely heightened tensions with Russia and increasingly tenuous relations with Communist China, particularly in the South China Sea, among other dangers.

American manufacturing is back… to making weapons

USA - Amid soaring inflation and other economic woes, the administration of US President Joe Biden has been obsessed with emphasizing any shred of positivity they can find. That’s especially true with that typically American buzzword: jobs. Last Thursday, the president tweeted a graph showing the the latest four-week average number of joblessness claims vs what it was when he took office. Apparently the number has shrunk more than four-fold. The previous day, Biden quote-tweeted a post by Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm, showing job creation for blue collar workers is supposedly attributable to his clean-energy agenda, that “climate action” equals “jobs.”

Francis embarks on one of his boldest trips to date

VATICAN - Pope Francis is set to embark on one of the boldest trips of his pontificate when he travels to sub-Saharan Africa this week for a peace mission to the Democratic Republic of Congo and South Sudan. Both countries have suffered from long-running internal conflicts that have claimed hundreds of thousands of lives, and both are places where the Church plays a crucial role in working for peace and providing education and health care. The Pope’s ecumenical pilgrimage to South Sudan is unprecedented as it will be undertaken jointly with the Archbishop of Canterbury and the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland. While in Juba, the 86-year-old Roman Pontiff, the Archbishop and the Moderator are likely to challenge the country’s leaders to implement the country’s fragile peace process.

“Just what is an APOSTLE?”
Just what is an Apostle?

Today we find the Church of God in a “wilderness of religious confusion!”

The confusion is not merely around the Church – within the religions of the world outside – but WITHIN the very heart of The True Church itself!
