USA - Donald Trump is considering pulling US troops from Germany and redeploying them to Eastern Europe, The Telegraph can reveal. Mr Trump is weighing up withdrawing some 35,000 active personnel out of Germany in a move that would further sour US-Europe relations. The US president, who has repeatedly warned that Europe must commit more to its defensive capabilities, is becoming increasingly frustrated that the continent is “pushing for war”, sources close to the administration said. Around 160,000 active-duty personnel are stationed outside of the United States, a vast quantity of whom are in Germany.
USA - The US could decide to only defend those NATO countries that actually meet the bloc’s spending requirements, four former and current officials have told NBC. The policy would mark a major departure from a core article of the military bloc, which states that an attack on any NATO member is to be treated as an attack on all. A similar principle would apply to joint military exercises and American overseas deployments, the report said. Washington could choose to prioritize drills with those NATO partners that meet the defense spending targets and also reposition its forces in Europe according to the same criteria.
ISRAEL - Israel's political echelon, led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has ordered the IDF to prepare for an "immediate" return to fighting in Gaza, KAN News reported on Friday evening. The Jerusalem Post reported earlier this week that Israeli officials estimated that if no agreement was reached between Israel and Hamas, Israel would return to fighting in Gaza in about a week and a half. “Hamas is currently rejecting [US Middle East envoy Steve] Witkoff’s proposal, so it is very difficult to make progress,” one official said.
SAUDI ARABIA - President Donald Trump is ushering in a new age of peace, stability and cooperation in the region, according to Hassan bin Youssef Yassin, a senior Saudi diplomat and advisor to King Salman bin Abdulaziz, who expressed strong support for the President’s efforts to create a “new world order” based on coexistence and cooperation, as he urged Arab nations to back his initiative as they did in the past. In an article published Tuesday in Arab News, Yassin argues that President Trump’s shift to diplomacy — particularly with global powers — offers an opportunity to resolve long-standing conflicts, including the Arab-Israeli dispute. The matter comes as President Trump begins his new term, proclaiming his desire to be a “peacemaker” on the world stage.
USA - New Jersey’s first Islamic city: Muslim politicians seize power in Paterson, declare It ‘The Capital of Palestine in America,’ raise Islamic flags, and advance Sharia. A shocking transformation is unfolding in Paterson, New Jersey, where local officials are rapidly reshaping the city into an Islamic stronghold. Once a beacon of American industry and blue-collar resilience, Paterson has become a case study in how unchecked Islamic immigration, demographic shifts, and political pandering can erode a city’s original identity.
UK - For the first time in history, the UK has entered an 'atheist age' - with more atheists than people who believe in the existence of a god. Now, scientists think they know why people are turning their backs on religion. According to researchers from the University of Vienna, many people find spiritual practices boring. In their study, the researchers surveyed more than 1,200 adults about their experiences with five popular spiritual practices, including yoga, pilgrimages, and Catholic sermons. Figures from 2008 showed that 41.8 per cent of Britons believed in God while 35.2 per cent did not. Within a decade, by 2018, this had reversed, with 35.2 per cent believing and 42.9 per cent not believing.
USA - People think inflation is over? Credit card balances have hit a record of $1.21 trillion. Americans are having to use debt to buy basic necessities. People think inflation is over... The truth is when prices go up they stay up! How many price decreases have you seen since the CPI dropped from 9% to 2.8%?
USA - The billionaire recalled Senator Chris Murphy’s admission that Washington helped to usher in “regime change” in 2014. Many Americans have forgotten that it was the US that helped overthrow the legitimate Ukrainian government in 2014, plunging the country into turmoil for years to come, Elon Musk has said. On Monday, Musk responded to a clip of US Senator Chris Murphy discussing Washington’s role during the 2013-2014 Maidan protests in Kiev which led to the ouster of then-Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich.
GERMANY - The prospective partners in Germany’s next government have said they will seek to loosen rules on running up debt to allow for higher defence spending. They said they will also seek to set up a huge €500 billion ($533 billion) fund to finance spending on Germany’s infrastructure over the next 10 years. Centre-right election winner Friedrich Merz, who is trying to put together a coalition government with the centre-left Social Democrats of the outgoing chancellor, Olaf Scholz, said the two sides would propose exempting spending of more than 1% of gross domestic product on defence from rules that limit the government’s ability to borrow money.
GERMANY - Germany has reached the limit of its capacity to supply weapons to Ukraine from its own Bundeswehr arsenals, according to Michael Stempfle, the official spokesperson for the German Ministry of Defense. During a press briefing on Wednesday, Stempfle was asked about the further transfer of Patriot systems and other weapons from German arsenals to Ukraine. He stated that while Berlin has already delivered many systems to Ukraine, there is a “natural limit to this.” He emphasized that Berlin also needed to strengthen the nation’s own defense capabilities and make sure its European allies are “well positioned.” He said that the process of ensuring Germany’s own defenses was “running parallel to the Ukraine support.”
ISRAEL - The Israeli army’s new Chief of Staff, Eyal Zamir, was officially sworn into the position on 5 March, making a speech and vowing that the “mission” against Hamas has “not yet been completed.” The ceremony comes over one month after the resignation of his predecessor, Herzi Halevi, was announced. “The IDF has achieved impressive achievements on the battlefield. We won battles in Gaza and Lebanon; we struck far away in Yemen and Iran. Hamas received a heavy blow, but it has not yet been defeated. The mission has not yet been completed,” Zamir said in his speech.
USA - President Trump on Wednesday issued a threat against the civilian population of Gaza, saying the “people of Gaza” would be “dead” if the Israeli hostages weren’t released immediately. “Also, to the People of Gaza: A beautiful Future awaits, but not if you hold Hostages. If you do, you are DEAD! Make a SMART decision. RELEASE THE HOSTAGES NOW, OR THERE WILL BE HELL TO PAY LATER!” the president said at the end of a statement released on social media. Addressing Hamas in the statement, Trump said, “Shalom Hamas’ means Hello and Goodbye – You can choose. Release all of the Hostages now, not later, and immediately return all of the dead bodies of the people you murdered, or it is OVER for you.”
USA - The Biden presidency might have been the greatest con job ever perpetrated on the American people. A shocking investigation by the Heritage Foundation's Oversight Project has revealed that virtually every document bearing Joe Biden's signature during his presidency was signed by an autopen — except for one. What makes this revelation particularly damning is that the only document confirmed to have Biden's actual signature was his letter announcing his withdrawal from the 2024 presidential race. Let that sink in for a moment.
EUROPE - The European Union has failed to agree on a new €30 billion ($32 billion) military aid package for Ukraine after Hungary vetoed the measure at an emergency European Council meeting in Brussels on Thursday. Despite broad support from the other 26 EU members, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban blocked the leaders’ statement, delaying further assistance to Kiev. The proposed five-point agreement included security guarantees for Ukraine, a commitment that no negotiations with Russia would take place without Kiev, and a pledge to uphold Ukraine’s territorial integrity. However, Orban, a vocal critic of military aid to Ukraine and an advocate for peace talks, rejected the proposal, arguing that it contradicted Hungary’s stance. ”It talks about Ukraine needing to be strengthened so that it can fight even further. And Hungary, of course, did not support it because this was completely contrary to our position in favor of peace,” Orban told reporters after the meeting.
UK - A hawkish Starmer says he will put boots on the ground and “planes in the air”. He also says he’ll only do so with “strong US backing”, but president Trump has categorically ruled out American troops in Ukraine. What is Starmer doing? Except, that is, inflaming tensions and putting us at risk. But no one in Parliament on Monday, not one of them, stood up and said, “Excuse me, what?” Or, “You must be having a laugh.” MPs daren’t criticise the PM for fear of looking like a Putin appeaser and were too busy cheerleading to call out his arrant nonsense. So let me do it for them. How can we possibly afford it? Britain is already on its knees. Debt is a horrifying 98 per cent of GDP. Taxes are at their highest level for 70 years and about to go up again. This country needs to muster such resources as it has to take care of our own.
