UK - We teach our young men to be ashamed of their country, so how can we expect them to risk their lives defending it? Sir Keir Starmer must be terrified of having to lead Britain into World War Three. Not least because our young men could so easily dodge conscription. All they’d have to do is tell a judge that being sent overseas would breach their right to family life in the UK. After all, that excuse always seems to work for foreign criminals. So why not for innocent British men?
EUROPE - A rapid rise in defence spending is about to unleash a high-octane blast of military Keynesianism. It has taken three years, but Europe is at last putting its collective economy on an industrial war footing. The sums of money are eye-watering. One leaked plan for German rearmament circulating in Berlin proposes a €400 billion (£330 billion) blitz of extra spending on national defence, buttressed by another €500 billion to rebuild Germany’s infrastructure.
USA - If you were drafted, would you willingly go to the killing fields of eastern Ukraine? What about your children? The war in Ukraine has been an endless “meat grinder” that has already claimed hundreds of thousands of Russian lives and more than a million Ukrainian lives. Those that are sane want to see if there is a peaceful way out of this mess so that the killing can stop. Unfortunately, vast numbers of leftists all over the United States and western Europe have been transformed into rabid pro-war lunatics that are absolutely obsessed with “defeating” Russia. So gigantic mountains of dollars and euros have been poured into the war in Ukraine, but it hasn’t worked. The Russians are winning, and so now European leaders are preparing to take things to the next level.
GERMANY - Chancellor-in-waiting Friedrich Merz announces an end to strict borrowing limits on defence spending. It has been described as “one of the most historic paradigm shifts in Germany’s post-war history”. Friedrich Merz, the incoming German chancellor, announced on Tuesday evening a €500 billion (£414 billion) special fund for German infrastructure and an end to strict borrowing limits on defence spending. Mr Merz said: “I want to make it very clear: in view of the threats to our freedom and peace on our continent, the following must now also apply to our defense: ‘whatever it takes’.” The significance of these reforms cannot be overstated.
CHINA - China has said it is “ready for war” with America as it raises defence spending and imposes retaliatory tariffs on US imports. In a direct threat to Donald Trump, China’s representatives in America said: “If war is what the US wants, be it a tariff war, a trade war or any other type of war, we’re ready to fight until the end.” Pete Hegseth, the US defence secretary, in turn said the US is “prepared” to go to war. Mr Hegseth told Fox and Friends that the US was “prepared” and that “those who long for peace must prepare for war.”
USA - BlackRock Inc has secured control over key ports near the Panama Canal, stripping away Chinese-linked influence over one of the world’s most crucial shipping routes. The $23 billion deal, which includes $5 billion in debt, will effectively place the strategic ports under American control — a move long advocated by President Donald Trump and national security hawks concerned about China’s grip on global infrastructure. The transaction, announced Tuesday, involves Hong Kong-based CK Hutchison Holdings selling its controlling stake in Hutchison Port Holdings and Hutchison Port Group Holdings to a US-led consortium spearheaded by BlackRock, AP reported. This historic acquisition grants control over 43 ports in 23 countries, including major sites in Mexico, the Netherlands, Egypt, Australia, Pakistan, and Panama’s critical ports of Balboa and Cristobal — the two primary gateways to the Panama Canal.
USA - A peer-reviewed study published in 2022 found that wind and solar power are more expensive than coal, natural gas and nuclear power. The study shows that even in favourable locations like Texas, solar power is 10 times and wind power 7 times more expensive than natural gas. The differential is even greater in regions of the world that do not enjoy Texas’ favourable climate. The next time some climate activist or wind and solar shill claims wind and solar are less expensive than conventional energy sources, point them to this study and the actual truth, James Taylor writes. By the full system numbers, solar power in Texas costs $413 per megawatt hour (“MWh”) of generation. Wind power costs $291 per MWh. Nuclear power costs $122. Coal power costs $90. Natural gas power costs merely $40. That is a huge price differential between wind and solar versus all other energy sources.
UK - Teacher sacked over using ‘wrong pronoun’ says child put on ‘path to self-destruction’. Christian teacher was ‘treated as a criminal’ for raising safeguarding concerns, tribunal hears. A Christian teacher who was sacked after refusing to call an eight-year-old girl by male pronouns has accused the school of putting the child “on a path to self-destruction”. The teacher, who cannot be named, was dismissed after raising concerns about the safeguarding of a girl who wanted to “socially transition”. She said she accepted gender dysphoria was “a real problem for some people” but that “we should have the humility to put God-given reality first and our own feelings second”.
USA - Donald Trump’s public attack on Volodymyr Zelensky has given impetus to plans for a joint EU fighting force that could one day become the “embryo” of a European army. European leaders are scrambling to boost their collective defence amid fears US troops will pull out of Europe, and the transatlantic alliance has been badly damaged by Friday’s clash between the two presidents in the Oval Office. The crisis has increased calls to ensure Europe can act independently of Washington, and raised the prospect of a common army coming a step closer. European leaders faced with Trump’s insistence they will police the peace in Ukraine have been shocked into action by the combination of AN UNRELIABLE US AND AGGRESSIVE RUSSIA.
EUROPE - The European Union will free up $840 billion in funding to funnel into defense across the bloc, European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen announced on Tuesday. Dubbed "Rearm Europe," the remarks from the European Commission's president came hours after President Donald Trump suspended all US military aid to Ukraine, widening the gulf between Washington and Kyiv and going against the fresh commitments of support from Europe for Ukraine in recent days. "I do not need to describe the grave nature of the threats that we face, or the devastating consequences that we will have to endure if those threats would come to pass," von der Leyen told reporters. Propelled by Trump's return to the White House and insistent calls from his administration that Europe dramatically pulls up its defense spending, European nations are scrambling to work out how to plug huge gaps in its military capabilities that the US has traditionally filled.
USA - Trump declares war on anonymous sources: A bold stand against media corruption and the Deep State. In a fiery rebuke of corporate media corruption and the shadowy machinations of the so-called "Deep State," President Donald Trump has once again taken aim at one of the most insidious tools of the establishment: anonymous sources. In a series of bold statements, Trump has threatened lawsuits against authors, publishers and media outlets that rely on unnamed insiders to push defamatory narratives. Even more provocatively, he has hinted at the possibility of a "NICE NEW LAW" to crack down on the rampant abuse of anonymity in journalism and publishing.
USA - Trump has no idea where most of the Ukraine aid went – and honestly, who does? Throwing billions upon billions of cash at Kiev turned out to be such a massive scam no one seems to even know the exact amount. The US president keeps saying that the reason Washington wants dibs on Ukrainian natural resources is because “the United States has put up far more aid for Ukraine than any other nation, hundreds of billions of dollars,” and that “we’re in there for about $350 billion. I think that’s a pretty big contribution.”
USA - President Donald J Trump spent the weekend in Mar-A-Lago for an all-too-brief break before another busy week. When he returned, he hopped on Truth Social to remind the world that his “mean Tweets” are still real and they’re spectacular. He didn’t go after anyone in particular. He simply reminded Americans about our priorities. We should spend less time worrying about Putin, and more time worrying about migrant rape gangs, drug lords, murderers, and people from mental institutions entering our Country – So that we don’t end up like Europe! Europe is, of course, obsessed with Ukraine and Russia. Their governments will obsess over anything that takes attention away from the invasion they’re allowing at their borders and in their streets.
USA - The auto finance industry is in trouble. Subprime car loan delinquencies just hit 6.56% — the highest level ever recorded. That’s not just a bad month. That’s a flashing red warning sign that borrowers are drowning in debt and running out of options. Companies like Carvana, DriveTime, and Westlake Financial are seeing default rates spike across the board. It’s not just subprime borrowers struggling either — even prime customers are starting to fall behind on payments. That’s when you know things are breaking down.
CHINA - Extreme weather destroys cities as level 10 winds and giant hailstones trigger chaos. On March 2, 2025, extreme weather struck multiple regions in China, with parts of Henan province experiencing heavy rainfall and violent winds, causing road obstructions, vehicle overturns, and significant travel disruptions. Meanwhile, in Yueyang, Hunan, a sudden hailstorm lasted for over an hour, with densely packed hailstones the size of eggs, severely impacting city traffic and daily life.
